About Susan

Susan is writing novels set in the Pacific Northwest. Her brief business books offer pointers on investor relations, crisis communications and public relations. Her whimsical series, "Boating with Buddy," follows a rescue dog's boating adventures.

In the past, she's worked in corporate communications, public relations and investor relations for Seattle biotechnology companies. She's also worked as a potter and painter with an art studio and small gallery. In addition, she's been a waitress, nurse's aide, library page, administrative assistant and market researcher.

Her essays on parenting boisterous twins were published in the 1990's in Mothering Magazine, Utne Reader and Twins Magazine

Susan grew up in Michigan and played flute in junior high but never made it past third chair. She lives in the Pacific Northwest in a house where deer dance on the roof with her trumpet-playing husband and their beagle-mix rescue dog. As a boater, she's been out on the water since she was ten years old sailing on Lake St. Clair. She's a cancer survivor and grateful to be alive.

Susan received a BFA with Honors from University of Oregon and MBA from Seattle University. She's a member of the Pacific Northwest Writers Association and Women's Fiction Writers Association
