About Susan

I'm writing psychological suspense novels. My brief business books offer pointers on investor relations and crisis communications. Three humorous books in the "Boating with Buddy" series are written from a rescue dog's point of view.

I've worked in corporate communications for biotechnology companies. My essays on parenting boisterous twins were published in the 1990's in Mothering Magazine, Twins Magazine and Utne Reader. In 1975, I worked as an activity aide in a nursing home's locked psychiatric unit. I was a potter and painter with an art studio and small gallery in Seattle for ten years. I've also been a market researcher, nurse's aide working on the graveyard shift, waitress and library page.

I grew up in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan and received a BFA with Honors from University of Oregon and a MBA in Marketing from Seattle University. A member of NetGalley, the Pacific Northwest Writers Association and Women's Fiction Writers Association, I live in a windy part of the Pacific Northwest with my trumpet-playing husband.
